Near Batiquitos Lagoon

I joined a group of plein air painters at Batiquitos Lagoon in Southern California, where sage brush and eucalyptus trees cover the hills around the water. Rather choosing a view of the lagoon, I turned around and made it my task to capture the exquisite colors of the vegetation.
